Survey - Focused on Equity, Community, and Access to Nature
The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg (MODL) is developing a Land Conservation Strategy to guide which lands are protected in the future.
We are inviting input from community members and equity-deserving communities, including Mi’kmaq and African Nova Scotian communities, to help identify places, values, and experiences that matter to people, alongside ecological considerations. General community feedback has already been gathered through earlier engagement. This survey focuses on perspectives related to equity, culture, and access to nature.
This survey is intended to help MODL:
- Understand community, cultural, historic, and social values connected to land and nature
- Identify barriers to access and meaningful use of conserved lands
- Ensure conservation decisions reflect both ecological importance and lived experience
The survey takes approximately 5 minutes to complete and will remain open until Sunday, February 22, 2026. Participation is voluntary, and you are welcome to answer only the questions that feel relevant to you.
