    Please take notice that a public information meeting will be held regarding proposed changes to private road design and construction standards and amendments to the Subdivision By-law to implement the policies of the Municipal Planning Strategy (MPS):

    Location: Council Chambers, Municipal Office, 10 Allée Champlain Drive, Cookville


    At this meeting, planning staff will provide an overview of the proposed changes to the Municipality’s private road design and construction standards and the Subdivision By-law. For more information, please contact Jeff Merrill at planning@modl.ca or (902) 541-1325.

    Area affected: The proposed amendments apply to the entire municipality.

    Synopsis: Changes to the private road design and construction standards to balance public safety and infrastructure expectations with the cost of development and project feasibility. General amendments to the Subdivision By-law to bring policies from the MPS into effect that protect water supplies and agriculturally zoned properties.
